Gestalt and Trauma (EN)

The essence of the Gestalt approach to therapy with traumatized people

is attention to the relational aspect.

What was damaged in contact can only be restored in contact.

Many of these disturbances are pre-verbal and therefore physically stored.

Physically, we carry our whole situation with us. By looking closely, taking the space to feel, and assigning meaning to our sensations, what is present

and what is needed for development towards a more satisfying life can become clear.

The day will be a mix of theory and interaction, experiential learning as Gestalt Therapists apply.

Michiel van den Heuvel (1953) is a Gestalt therapist and Gestalt supervisor. He has been the Coordinator of the NSG, and a Mentor for a generation of students. He is an experienced Gestalt trainer, so this workshop can be a good foundation to a Gestalt Therapy exploration.
